See what’s new with Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) and how it can help keep your business secure. LAPS is used to manage the password of a specified local administrator account by regularly rotating the password and backing it up to Active Directory (AD). Starting with the April 11, 2023 security update, LAPS is natively integrated into Windows with new capabilities for on-premises AD scenarios and forthcoming Azure Active Directory benefits (currently in private preview). When will this happen:
New LAPS capabilities for on-premises Active Directory environments are generally available with the April 11, 2023 security update. The Azure Active Directory scenarios are currently in private preview and will enter public preview soon.
