The February 2024 non-security preview update is now available for Windows 11 and all supported versions of Windows 10. Information about the contents of this update is available from the release notes, which are accessible from the Windows 11 and Windows 10 update history pages. To learn more about the different types of monthly quality updates, see Windows monthly updates explained. To be informed about the latest updates and releases, follow us on X @WindowsUpdate.

Highlights for the Windows 11, versions 22H2 and 23H2 update:
This update adds support for the USB 80Gbps standard. It is the next generation of USB4 that has twice the bandwidth of USB 40Gbps. To use USB 80Gbps, you must have a compatible PC and USB4 or Thunderbolt™ peripheral.
The Phone Link settings page has a new name: Mobile devices. Go to Settings> Bluetooth & devices > Mobile devices.
You can now use the Snipping Tool on your PC to edit the most recent photos and screenshots from your Android device. You will get an instant notification on your PC when your Android device captures a new photo or screenshot.
This update affects games you install on a secondary drive. Now, they remain installed on the drive.
This update addresses an issue that affects networking. A device fails to make the automatic switch from cellular to Wi-Fi when it can use Wi-Fi.

IMPORTANT New dates have been announced for the end of non-security preview updates for Windows 11, version 22H2. June 24, 2025, will be the date of the last preview updates for all Enterprise editions of Windows 11, version 22H2. June 26, 2024 will be date of the last preview updates for Home and all Pro editions of Windows 11, version 22H2. After these dates, only cumulative monthly security updates will continue for this version of Windows. We previously communicated that the last preview update for 22H2 would be released on February 2024, and this extension allows more customers to experience the continuous innovation in Windows 11.
