Your end users will soon be able to edit SharePoint metadata in a file or list directly from the web part.
We'll be gradually rolling this out to Targeted Release customers starting in early March.
The rollout will be completed by the end of April.

How does this affect me?]
Users will now have the ability to open and edit file or list item properties directly from the document or list view web parts.
Users no longer need to navigate to the List or Document Library to update their metadata. They can edit metadata directly from the webpart by either clicking on the or by clicking “More” under item properties.
