Details:

Unverified sender is a new Office 365 feature that helps end users identify suspicious messages in their inbox. In order to help customers identify suspicious messages in their inbox, we've added an indicator that demonstrates Office 365 spoof intelligence was unable to verify the sender. Emails from unverified senders will receive a question mark in their people card instead of the normal sender photo or sender initials. This indicator helps customers identify that the sender may not be who it appears to be, and can help increase awareness of phishing or spam campaigns.
