Microsoft Intune will evaluate mobile threat defense (MTD) compliance on devices that are not enrolled with Intune device management. If the MTD indicates that a device is out of compliance, apps enabled with Intune app protection policy (APP) will not launch. The new risk-based conditional access feature will enable secure MAM use cases, such as personal and bring-your-own devices, where users may not enroll the devices
