Opportunities**
Enhanced User Control over Purchases
The introduction of self-service purchase settings allows users to have more autonomy in acquiring Microsoft 365 Copilot, potentially increasing user satisfaction and productivity. This empowers users to access tools they need without waiting for admin approval, fostering a more agile work environment.
- next-steps: Global and billing admins should review and configure self-service purchase settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Additionally, they should communicate these changes to users to ensure they understand how to leverage this new capability.

Improved Administrative Oversight
With the rollout of notifications for self-service purchases, admins will gain better visibility into user actions, allowing for more effective management of subscriptions and compliance. This will help in monitoring spending and ensuring that all purchases align with organizational policies.
- next-steps: Admins should familiarize themselves with the new notification system and set up processes to review these notifications regularly. Training sessions can be conducted to ensure that all admins understand how to manage subscriptions effectively.

Streamlined IT Operations
The ability to manage self-service purchases directly from the Microsoft 365 admin center simplifies administrative tasks. Admins can configure settings without relying solely on PowerShell, which can reduce the complexity and time spent on managing user purchases.
- next-steps: Admins should explore the new settings in the admin center and transition from PowerShell to the admin interface for managing self-service purchases where applicable. Documentation should be updated to reflect these changes in processes.
