Details:
Updated September 19, 2024: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
In Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, We are now auto-enabling extensions (formerly Plugins) upon user installation or Admin deployment. This will help reduce the friction for users having to enable individual extensions in Copilot for Microsoft 365 before use once installed. Users will continue to have the ability to disable (switch OFF) these individual extensions where supported.

We are also introducing actions support within extensions in Copilot for Microsoft 365 to enable users to complete their workflows directly from Copilot for Microsoft 365. Users can now create, update, or delete records with extensions.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 384848.
[When this will happen:]
General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late September 2024 (previously mid-September) and expect to complete late December 2024 (previously mid-December).
