On August 8, 2022, the Chilean government made an official announcement about a Daylight Saving Time (DST) time zone change. Starting at 12:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 until 12:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, the official time will advance 60 minutes.

In the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica, the advancement of the official time of continental Chile will be extended indefinitely.
Clocks will be forwarded by an hour at 12:00 a.m. on September 11, 2022 for the Santiago time zone.
Clocks will be forwarded by an hour at 10:00 p.m. on September 10, 2022 for the Easter Islands time zone.
