IMPORTANT: this notice only affects environments where:
Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) is used to deploy updates
The WSUS Scan Cab for the May 2022 security update was deployed before May 11, 2022.


An updated version of the WSUS Scan Cab for the May 2022 security update - known as the monthly 'B' release - was made available at approximately 5:00 PM PT on May 10, 2022 for all Windows versions. This replaces the Scan Cab which was released for that same update earlier that day, at 10:00 AM PT.


The new Scan Cab addresses a security issue in Microsoft Exchange Server and described in CVE-2022-21978. See the additional information section of this message for details.
