In an upcoming Windows update, we are introducing search highlights, a more convenient way to search for content across Microsoft 365 using the Windows search box.

Search highlights help people discover Microsoft 365 enterprise content directly from the Windows search box. Users can find others in their organizations, cloud documents they are working on, and more—all from a single location. To help users understand that these highlights are coming from your organization, your Microsoft 365 company branding will appear at the top of the search box when they sign in to Windows and search using your organization's Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant.

When will this happen:
This feature will become available in the Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel starting the week of March 14, 2022. The experience will begin to roll out to Windows 10 devices running version 20H1 or later with the March 2022 Cumulative Update Preview and the April 2022 quality update. The service components of Search that power this experience will be released gradually over the next few months. The rollout of these components will begin in the first quarter of 2022 with a limited set of preview tenants, then move to a targeted release and full rollout in the in Q2.
