Feature update, User impact, Admin impact

Update: We want to inform you that the timing has shifted for the Microsoft Whiteboard move to OneDrive for Business storage which will integrate seamlessly across the suite, so you can create, share, discover, and manage whiteboards as easily as any Office document.

Previously (April - MC253185), the opt-in period was set to complete in September and setting to default-on would complete in October.
The below timing changes will provide additional preparation time for your tenant. Additionally, the opt-in will now support web, Teams, Windows 10 and iOS clients.
Note: If your organization is not using Whiteboard you can safely disregard this message.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 66767.
[When this will happen:]
Opt-in to use OneDrive for Business: will begin in late October and complete in mid-November.
Making OneDrive for Business the default: will begin in mid-January and complete in late February.
Users on Surface Hub: the application will be updated in early November and be complete in mid-November.
If you have a Surface Hub, you may wish to wait for that update before opting in.
