On August 17, 2020, we "https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/microsoft-365-apps-say-farewell-to-internet-explorer-11-and/ba-p/1591666" style="text-decoration: underline">announced that Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) after August 17, 2021 and recommended that customers transition to Microsoft Edge. The removal of IE 11 support will impact customers that use Dynamics 365 and Power Platform products with IE 11.

Customers have been using IE 11 since 2013 when the online environment was much less sophisticated than today’s landscape. Since then, open web standards and newer browsers—like the new Microsoft Edge—have enabled better, more innovative online experiences. Dynamics 365 and Power Platform customers, in both consumer and commercial contexts, will be better served with this change through faster and more responsive web access to greater sets of features in everyday toolsets like Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate.

The M365 blog announced Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support IE 11 after August 17, 2021. Dynamics and Power Platform products will also stop supporting IE 11 following the same timeline.

Our commitment to you

We believe that our customers will get the most out of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform products when using the new Microsoft Edge and we are committed to helping make this transition as smooth as possible.

We understand that many customers rely on the capabilities of IE 11 to perform their business critical work and with that in mind, we want to make sure our customers understand that IE 11 is not going away; customers’ own legacy IE 11 apps and investments will continue to work.
