Introduction
We're pleased to announce the availability of SharePoint agents in the Microsoft Teams app store. These agents enable users to interact with SharePoint content directly within Teams, offering intelligent assistance for document discovery, content summarization, and collaboration.
By discovering and utilizing the most recently used agents personalized to each user, users can quickly access the most relevant SharePoint agents to use them in their flow of work. Up to 25 agents will appear towards the end of the agents section on the store. Users can find the agent details by selecting a listing, and choose to add them to chats or channels to streamline their workflows.

Imagine you are in a large library, and you have a personal assistant who knows exactly what books you like, what information you need, and where to find it. This assistant can quickly bring you the right books and even summarize them for you, saving you time and effort. This is similar to what SharePoint agents are doing in Microsoft Teams.
SharePoint agents are like these personal assistants, but for your digital workspace. They help you interact with SharePoint content directly within Teams. Think of Teams as your office space and SharePoint as the library. Instead of leaving your office to go to the library, these agents bring the library to you, making it easier to find and use the information you need.
These agents are personalized, meaning they adapt to your work habits and preferences. They can help you discover documents, summarize content, and collaborate more effectively, just like how a good assistant would know your favorite authors or topics. Up to 25 of these agents can be found in the Teams app store, ready to assist you in your daily tasks.
One important thing to note is that these agents are automatically available and cannot be hidden or managed by IT admins. This means they are always there to help, without needing any setup or configuration from your side. Just like how you don't need to manage your assistant's schedule—they're just there when you need them.
If you've never used a SharePoint agent before, don't worry. They won't appear until you start interacting with them, ensuring that your workspace isn't cluttered with unnecessary tools. This feature is designed to enhance your workflow by making SharePoint content more accessible and easier to use within Teams.
In summary, SharePoint agents in Teams are like having a personal assistant in your digital workspace, making it easier to find and use the information you need without leaving your office. They are personalized, always available, and require no extra management, streamlining your work processes and improving collaboration.
