Details:
We are expanding the range of file formats supported by the Content AI document translation feature in SharePoint Online (formerly known as Microsoft Syntex). This update aligns with Azure Document Translation and enables new scenarios for translating technical, web, and structured data content.
The following formats are now supported:
Markdown files: .mdown, .mdtext, .mdtxt, .mdwn, .mkd, .mkdn
Web archive formats: .mht, .mhtml
Open formats: .odt (OpenDocument Text), .rmd (R Markdown)
Structured data: .tab, .tsv
Localization formats: .xlf (XLIFF)
