Details:

This is an update for the previous Message Center Post about Dataverse search sent out on March 6th, 2025 (to most regions) and April 8th, 2025 (to GCC and GCC High regions), where it was mentioned that the change would result in an increase in consumption of Dataverse storage capacity for database and file storage on April 7th, 2025 (for most regions) and May 12th, 2025 (for GCC and GCC High regions).

This roll out was immediately paused on April 10, 2025.

What is Dataverse search?
Today, Dataverse search offers global search experience for all your model-driven apps, powered by the relevance search index currently reported as "RelevanceSearch" in the Database Capacity storage within the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC). Moving forward, Dataverse search will include both relevance search and additional semantic indexes, all reported as "DataverseSearch", which will enhance the knowledge experience and quality for agents in Copilot Studio, amongst other Power Platform experiences.
