Updated September 11, 2020: We are pleased to announce that Information pane ("https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=searchterms=64173" 64173) has rolled out. We are extending the roll-out timeline for Pinned posts ("https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=searchterms=64334" 64334) as noted below. We appreciate your patience.
We are pleased to introduce two features that should make it easier for your users to find new and relevant information in a channel.
This feature is related to Microsoft Roadmap IDs "https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=searchterms=64173" 64173 and "https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=searchterms=64334" 64334.
When this will happen
Information pane has completed rolling out.
Pinned posts
Rollout for standard release tenants will begin at the end of September and complete by the end of October.
Rollout for government tenants should begin at the end of October and be complete by the end of November.
