Details:

Through the new Feature Access management user interface, admins will be able to manage feature access settings directly in Microsoft 365 admin center. Feature access management allows admins to use access policies to manage which users can access specific features in Viva apps, so you can tailor your deployments to meet your local regulatory or business requirements. Previously, these policies could only be managed with Microsoft PowerShell cmdlets. After this rollout, admins can choose to use either Microsoft 365 admin center or PowerShell to manage feature access. Existing policies set for an organization will persist and can be managed in both places.

summary for non-techies**

The new Feature Access management user interface in the Microsoft 365 admin center simplifies managing access to Microsoft Viva apps by allowing admins to set permissions with a user-friendly interface, while still offering the option to use PowerShell for those who prefer it, ensuring existing settings remain intact.

Direct effects for Operations**

User Access Management Changes
If the new Feature Access management UI is implemented without proper preparation, there may be confusion among admins regarding the transition from PowerShell to the new UI, leading to misconfigured access settings and potential unauthorized access to features.

User Experience Disruption
The introduction of the new UI without adequate training or communication may result in a poor user experience, as users may find that they suddenly lack access to features they previously used, impacting productivity.
