Details:
Updated December 3rd, 2020: Changing the app name in Teams from “Planner” to “Tasks by Planner and To Do” is scheduled to go live within the next few days to all non-Government tenants. The change is intended to better reflect the app combing the To Do and Planner experiences.
Once we've made the name change, users will see a banner announcing the change. In the future, we will shorten the app name to “Tasks”.
These name changes will not impact the naming for Planner or To Do experiences outside of Teams.
The Teams mobile "Tasks" app is expected to begin roll out in December.
Note: We will communicate via Message center separately once we are ready to proceed with Government tenant (GCC, GCC-High or DoD) roll-out.
